about

Improvised music unites people with disparate personalities and wildly different backgrounds in a common purpose to explore sound. That was a part of what brought together the sextet, Indent, in Washington DC, from 2003-2005. Indent drew on influences such as free jazz, minimalism, no wave, krautrock, musique concrete, and onkyo. All members were multi-instrumentalists that utilized both electronic and acoustic instruments. This recording from 2005 was the last time Indent collaborated with all 6 members.
